Archangel
Michael
Archangel Michael was, in Christian theology,
delegated by God as the leader of the minions of angels during
the war in heaven, and God gave to Michael the divine words
of power that could defeat the rebellious troupes, forcing
them into the underworld, or hell. Michael the Warrior was
very often a subject of early Christian artists, often shown
with a long spear defeating demonic forces, in his shining
golden armor.
In contemporary mysticism, many pray to Archangel
Michael for protection from evil and negative forces, invoking
his
assistance in cutting away, with his flaming sword, influences
that are malign and hidden.
