The fox is a symbol with many qualities: Quick mental and physical responses; magic and cunning; the ability to camoflage one's intentions and blend in with surroundings; the ability to move through dimensions; creation of worlds within oneself.

Foxes are associated with protection, adaptability, keen intelligence, good survival instincts and also with deception. It is clever, crafty and cunning. In Far Eastern mythologies, the spirit of a fox is akin to European faeries and demons and can be either good or bad. Fox spirits are encountered in Chinese and Japanses tales and legends as a dangerous female seductress and in love stories as a young, beautiful women (thus the foxy lady).
