Rick Heinen, a self taught artist, began participating with his family in Renaissance Faires in 1978; His first medium was leather; he progressed next to fantasy paintings and then to metal. Heinen met Stewart in the early 90s as he was learning medallic sculpture and coin minting techniques. The Heinen family can be found minting at many east coast Renaissance Faires and at Universal Studios in Florida, (Islands of Adventure since 1999).

Michael and Rick work together each year creating new medallion designs for the upcoming faire season!
